Software and Process Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Camunda Engineer to design, develop, and optimize business process automation solutions using the Camunda Platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and product teams to automate workflows, streamline operations, and integrate enterprise systems through scalable BPM and workflow orchestration solutions.

The candidate should have strong experience in process modeling, workflow automation, API integrations, and enterprise application development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain business workflows using Camunda BPM / Camunda Platform 7 or 8.

  • Create and maintain BPMN, DMN, and CMMN process models.

  • Develop workflow services and process orchestration components using Java / Spring Boot.

  • Integrate Camunda with enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and third-party systems.

  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into automated workflows.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize process performance and workflow execution.

  • Implement exception handling, logging, security controls, and monitoring mechanisms.

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.

  • Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to BPM standards and governance.

  • Support production deployments and resolve workflow-related incidents.

  • Prepare technical documentation, process documentation, and user guides.

Qualifications & Experience - Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience with Camunda BPM / Camunda Platform.

  • 5+ years of overall software development experience.

  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation and business process management solutions.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Technical Skills:

Required

Strong experience with:

  • Camunda Platform 7 and/or Camunda Platform 8

  • BPMN 2.0

  • DMN

  • Workflow orchestration

  • Java

  • Spring Boot

  • REST APIs

  • Microservices architecture

  • SQL Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)

  • Git and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Knowledge of:

  • Kubernetes

  • Docker

  • Kafka / Event-Driven Architecture

  • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Elasticsearch

  • Process Mining concepts

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
